Live!... from the streetcar! It's... Thursday night!

Update — November 5, 5:27 p.m.: Maybe it’s not the first of its kind after all…

Local 24-hour news station CP24 is broadcasting a new talk show live from a streetcar operating along city streets.

Councillor Adam Giambrone, the chair of the Toronto Transit Commission, will host “On The Rocket”, starting this Thursday, November 5.

TTC passengers can join the show to talk transit in Toronto. The show airs once a month and is probably the first of its kind.

According to CP24, Giambrone promises to discuss everything from how the TTC operates every day to how it can improve service and how it is planning for the future.

The streetcar route will vary and CP24 invites viewers to get on and off for a free ride. This week, viewers can join the show at the McCaul loop on McCaul Street, north of Queen Street at 8 p.m.

You also can take part in the discussion by calling 416-872-CP24 or toll free at 1-888-863-CP24 or e-mailing ontherocket@cp24.com.
