Transit Toronto readers David Crawford and David Fisher report that TTC and City of Toronto construction of new streetcar tracks continues to affect bus and streetcar services at Church Street and Adelaide Street East.

The project continues to restrict traffic along Adelaide to just one lane and blocks the streetcar tracks along Church.

The work may delay or detour buses operating along the 141 Downtown / Mt Pleasant, 142 Downtown / Avenue Rd, 143 Downtown / Beach, 144 Downtown / Don Valley and 145 Downtown / Humber Bay express routes. The work definitely detours streetcars operating along the 508 Lake Shore route.

Work started on Monday, October 5. According to the City’s “scheduled road restrictions” webpage (.pdf), the work will continue to have impact on traffic along Adelaide until Monday, October 26.
