Update — 8:09 p.m.: The investigation has ended and regular service has resumed. The train that left Union at 4:30 p.m. is still holding east of Kipling Station, now nearly 180 minutes behind schedule.
The Toronto Police Service is investigating an earlier incident involving a pedestrian between Union and Kipling Stations on GO Transit’s 21 Milton line.
Passengers can expect delays between 30 and 40 minutes getting home today. Service will continue to Milton, however GO will reroute trains using another rail corridor.
The train that left Union Station at 4:30 p.m. and that usually arrives in Milton at 5:28 p.m. is still holing east of Kipling because of the investigation. This train is already more than 90 minutes behind schedule.
