Starting Tuesday, October 13 until Thursday, October 15, the City of Mississauga is closing Kariya Gate — just south of Square One mall — during a project to connect regional sewer lines.
Mississauga Transit is detouring buses operating along the 3 Bloor, 8 Cawthra - Indian Road and 26 Burnhamthorpe routes.
3 Bloor
On October 13, 14 and 15, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to City Centre Drive and Kariya Gate, then detour:
westward along City Centre;
southward along Duke of York Boulevard; and then
eastward along Burnhamthorpe Road West to Kariya Gate / Kariya Drive,
resuming their regular route southward along Kariya Drive.Eastbound buses serve all regular stops.
Westbound buses reverse this routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stop on Kariya Gate north of Burnhamthorpe Road West.
Buses operating along the 3 Bloor route also detour on Sunday, October 11 during the Diwali celebration and procession.

26 Burnhamthorpe
On October 13, 14 and 15, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to City Centre Drive and Robert Speck Parkway West, then detour:
eastward along Robert Speck West; and then
southward along Hurontario Street to Burnhamthorpe Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Burnhamthorpe Road East.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops on City Centre Drive at Kariya Gate and on Burnhamthorpe Road West at Sussex Gate.
Westbound buses reverse this routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stops on Kariya Gate north of Burnhamthorpe Road West and on City Centre Drive south of Robert Speck Parkway West.
