On Friday, September 25, Durham Region Transit buses operating along the 304 Anderson route resumed regular service along Burns Street East after detouring off the street since Monday, July 13.
The Town of Whitby’s project to rebuild the street isn’t quite over yet, however.
For about one week, starting Monday, October 19, the town will complete the project by temporarily closing the intersection of Burns Street East and Hopkins Street and DRT will detour the buses along a different route again.
