Fife Road construction affects Guelph Transit buses,
starting September 8

Update — September 22: Buses resume their regular route on Friday, September 25.

The City of Guelph is closing Fife Road between Elmira Road South and Gateway Drive to allow contractors to connect utilities to a new development. The City is closing the street for about three weeks this month.

Guelph Transit is detouring buses during the project.

3 Waterloo / Fife

From Tuesday, September 8 until Friday, September 25, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Worton Avenue and Elmira Road South, then detour:

northward along Elmira South;
eastward along West Acres Drive; and then
southward along Gateway Drive to Fife Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Fife.

Outbound buses operate along their regular route.

You can see a map of the detour here. (.pdf)

Buses operating along the 3 Waterloo / Fife route continue to detour in downtown Guelph because of ongoing construction along Norfolk Street.

Inbound buses operate toward downtown Guelph.

Outbound buses operate away from downtown Guelph.
