Barrie Transit detours buses
during construction



The City of Barrie is closing Victoria Street at Lakeshore Drive for about six weeks, starting Monday, April 6 during an ongoing project to replace the sanitary sewers.

Barrie Transit is also detouring buses from Bradford Street during the project.


The detour affects buses operating along these routes: 30 Yonge, 31 Essa; 34 Ardagh; 39 Hurst; 41 Allandale.


41 Allandale

Starting Monday, April 6 for about six weeks, buses operate along their regular route to Simcoe and Toronto Streets, then detour:

southward along Toronto and Lakeshore Drive; and then
westward along Tiffin Street to Bradford Street / Essa Road,
resuming their regular route southwestward along Essa.

34 Ardagh

Starting Monday, April 6 for about six weeks, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Essa Road and Tiffin Street / Bradford Street, then detour:

eastward along Tiffin; and then
northward along Lakeshore Drive and Toronto Street to Simcoe Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Simcoe.

Outbound buses operate along their regular route.

31 Essa

Starting Monday, April 6 for about six weeks, buses operate along their regular route to Essa Road and Tiffin Street / Bradford Street, then detour:

eastward along Tiffin; and then
northward along Lakeshore Drive and Toronto Street to Simcoe Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Simcoe.

39 Hurst
30 Yonge

Starting Monday, April 6 for about six weeks, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Tiffin Street and Bradford Street / Essa Road, then detour:

eastward along Tiffin; and then
northward along Lakeshore Drive and Toronto Street to Simcoe Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Simcoe.

Outbound buses reverse this routing.
