Filming Disrupts West End Streetcar Services

Filming for an unspecified project has closed portions of Dundas Street and Roncesvalles Avenue north of Howard Park, forcing diversions to three streetcar routes. Full details can be found here, but in summary Dundas Street will be closed from 7 a.m. on the morning of September 5 to 5 a.m. on the morning of September 9. Roncesvalles Avenue will be closed for long periods between September 6 and September 9.

As these closures block access to Dundas West station from the south, 504 King streetcars will be turning back at Queen and Roncesvalles, while 505 Dundas cars will be routed over Howard Park Avenue to High Park loop. Replacement buses will operate between Dundas West station and Queen and Roncesvalles via Dundas, Bloor, Parkside, Howard Park and Roncesvalles.

The closures are also in effect throughout the night, forcing 306 Carlton Night cars to follow the day route to High Park loop instead of Dundas West station. 313 Jane Night buses will divert off their regular route via Bloor, Parkside and Howard Park to Roncesvalles, providing the necessary connections.

One hopes that the Toronto Transit Commission was generously compensated for the inconvenience by the filmmakers to passengers.
