Though it hasn’t been mentioned on the TTC’s website yet, sources tell us that track reconstruction has begun on Lake Shore Boulevard between Kipling Avenue and Long Branch loop. 501 Queen streetcars are cutting back at Kipling Loop, and a shuttle bus is ferrying passengers the rest of the way to Long Branch. We will keep you posted as this story develops.
(Update: 14:47): The TTC has posted information about the diversions around this project. You can find it here.
Overhead rewiring in the Bay Street tunnel is now complete, and normal service has resumed on 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina routes… at least until track reconstruction (and installation of private right-of-way) takes place on Fleet Street.
