The TTC have just issued a press release expressing their sadness at the terrorist strike against the London Underground (details here) and have moved to assure riders that there is no threat to the TTC. Even so, the TTC is on alert, with its special constables on special duty protocols, and they are monitoring the situation closely.
(Update: 10:39 a.m.): The TTC reports that Toronto Mayor David Miller, TTC Chair Howard Moscoe and TTC Chief General Manager Rick Ducharme will be available to comment the London attacks at a news conference this morning at 11 a.m. behind the Council Chamber at Toronto City Hall.
(Update: 2:29 p.m.): Some of that news conference was reported by the CBC. A number of transit agencies across the world are taking extra care today in the wake of London’s bombings.
