by Jennifer Pagliaro

As many as 18 people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a TTC streetcar and Greyhound bus collided at River and Dundas streets Thursday afternoon.

Toronto police Staff Sergeant Mike Richmond said that 18 people, including the streetcar driver and four children, were taken to three different hospitals Thursday evening with minor injuries.

The streetcar driver suffered minor hip injuries, according to police.

There were conflicting reports of total people injured from emergency services, with police putting the total at 15 earlier in the day and paramedics later saying it was 16.

Dundas streetcars were being diverted onto Queen Street between Victoria Street and Broadview Avenue following the crash at 3 p.m.
