Park and Ride the Rocket as the TTC welcomes commuters to the new commuter parking lot at Downsview Station

TORONTO, Sept. 21 /CNW/ - Riding the Rocket is now more convenient as the TTC welcomes customers to its newest parking lot at Downsview Station. Drive to Downsview, park your vehicle, relax and enjoy the morning paper or your favourite book as you head off to your destination by subway.

TTC Chair Howard Moscoe and Toronto Councillor Mike Feldman will welcome commuters arriving at Downsview Station tomorrow morning, September 22, from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

A mariachi band will provide entertainment and each commuter will receive a special goody bag.

The Downsview Station parking lot features 641 spaces. Metropass holders park for free. The daily cash rate is $4.00. Hours of paid parking are 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Parking is free after 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

The TTC has a total of 14,136 parking spaces at 28 commuter lots. Metropass holders park for free at selected TTC lots.
