More GO Trains for this weekend's Molson Indy

TORONTO, July 8, 2004 /CNW/ - GO is the fastest way to get trackside at Exhibition Place.

This Friday and Saturday, GO Transit will run regularly scheduled Lakeshore trains and connecting buses. In addition, to improve frequency Friday afternoon, two westbound trains serving all stops to Oakville will also make an extra stop at Exhibition at 4:19 and 5:19 p.m.

On race day, Sunday, July 11, on top of regular hourly service, GO will run extra Lakeshore GO Trains serving all stations to Exhibition.

Inbound trains from the east will start from Pickering at 7:15 a.m., 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, and 12:00 noon, then hourly until midnight.

From the west, trains will start from Oakville at 7:30 a.m., 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00 noon, 12:30, and then hourly until 11:30 p.m.

These times include regular Sunday schedule trains plus extra trains. Please note that trains do not run every half-hour.

All regular and extra trains will connect with GO Buses from Oshawa, Whitby, and Ajax, or from Hamilton, Aldershot, and Burlington; bus connections with Newcastle and Bowmanville will be provided for regular Sunday schedule trains only.

After the race, in addition to regular hourly service, there will be extra homebound trains to Pickering and Oakville, with connecting buses through to Oshawa and Hamilton.

From Friday through Sunday, people must have Molson Indy admission tickets to enter the Exhibition grounds.
