TTC holiday season service schedule

TORONTO, Dec. 19 /CNW/ - This holiday season avoid downtown driving hassles, as well as the high cost of parking, by taking The Better Way. Here are service changes that reflect TTC riders’ holiday travel demands from Monday, December 22nd to Friday, January 2nd, 2004. On New Year’s Eve, most subway trains leave downtown at 2:30 a.m. The specific details are below:

Monday, December 22

  • Reduced peak period service.
  • Subway and most routes start at 6 a.m.

Tuesday, December 23

  • Reduced peak period service.
  • Subway and most routes start at 6 a.m.

Wednesday, December 24 - Christmas Eve

  • Reduced morning peak period service.
  • Afternoon peak period service, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Thursday, December 25 - Christmas Day

  • Sunday service
  • Subway and most routes start at 9 a.m.

Friday, December 26 - Boxing Day

  • Saturday service
  • Subway and most routes start at 6 a.m.

Saturday, December 27

  • Saturday service * Subway and most routes start at 6 a.m.

Sunday, December 28

  • Sunday service
  • Subway and most routes start at 9 a.m.

Monday, December 29

  • Reduced peak period service.

Wednesday, December 31, 2003 - New Year’s Eve

  • Afternoon peak period service, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
  • Most bus and streetcar routes with late-evening service continue until 3:00 a.m.
  • Extra trips on all Blue Night routes between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.
  • Last trains on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway leave Union Station at 2:31 a.m. to Finch Station, and 2:36 a.m. for Downsview Station.
  • Last trains on the Bloor-Danforth subway leave Yonge Station at 2:38 a.m. for Kipling Station, and at 2:38 a.m. for Kennedy Station
  • Last train on the Scarborough RT leaves Kennedy Station at 3:05 a.m. for McCowan Station.
  • Last train on the Sheppard Subway leaves Sheppard-Yonge at 2:58 a.m. for Don Mills Station

Thursday, January 1, 2004 - New Year’s Day

  • Sunday service
  • Subway and most routes start at 9 a.m.

Friday, January 2, 2004

  • Reduced peak period service.
  • Subway service and most routes start at 6 a.m.

From December 21st to January 4th, 2004, for just $7.75 a day, a TTC Day Pass provides unlimited travel all day long for groups of up to six people, maximum two adults over 19.
