Reconstruction shuts Scarborough RT 90 minutes sooner

TORONTO, March 27 /CNW/ - Beginning on Sunday, March 30, reconstruction of the elevated portion of the Scarborough RT will cause the line to close at nights about an hour-and-a-half earlier than usual. Here are the service details:

  • Repair work on elevated sections continues to October

Starting on March 30, and continuing until October, the SCARBOROUGH RT will close earlier at night to permit the continuation of structural work to the elevated portion of the line. Last trip time for trains will be about 12 midnight, Monday to Saturday. Last train from Kennedy Station usually leaves at about 1:35 a.m.

A frequent express bus service, running every six minutes, will replace the RT trains after closing.

Express buses stop at Kennedy Station, Midland/Lawrence (for Lawrence East Station), Midland/Ellesmere (for Ellesmere and Midland Stations), McCowan Station, and Scarborough Centre Station. Please note that buses on the 54 LAWRENCE EAST route will not run into Lawrence East Station after the last RT train that serves the station.
