Service Changes Due to Construction

TORONTO, July 26 /CNW/ - The following service changes are in effect this week due to track reconstruction:

  • 501/301 QUEEN, 502 DOWNTOWNER AND 503 KINGSTON ROAD

    Temporary Service - Track Reconstruction

With two major track reconstruction projects starting this week, the streetcar services listed above have been replaced with buses. Streetcar track on Queen Street, between Carlaw and Greenwood Avenues, and between Coxwell Avenue and Kingston Road, will be reconstructed.

The 501 QUEEN route is operating with buses between Neville Park Loop and Bathurst Street, and with streetcars between Church Street and Humber Loop/Long Branch Loop.

The 301 QUEEN overnight route, the 502 DOWNTOWNER route and the 503 KINGSTON ROAD route are replaced with buses. The replacement bus service is scheduled to operate on Eastern Avenue, instead of on Queen Street, as Queen Street will not be passable to buses during much of the construction.

These revised services will run until the Labour Day weekend.
