GO shuts down weekend train service

TORONTO, Jan. 15, 1999 /CNW/ - GO Transit will cancel GO Train

service later tonight and for the rest of this weekend. GO Buses will continue to operate through the weekend. The last eastbound train to Pickering tonight will leave Union Station at 8:13 p.m. The last westbound train to Oakville tonight will leave Union Station at 12:13 a.m. The shut down of GO Train service this weekend will allow track crews to remove accumulated snow, and allow GO Transit to service its equipment to prepare for the Monday morning commute. All regular GO service will resume with the rush hour on Monday morning, January 18.
