TTC Buses Serve Newest Station


         TORONTO, March 29 /CNW/ - Downsview, Metro's newest subway
station, opens for public service at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 31. The
celebration that began with the Official Opening, Friday, March 29,
will continue all day Sunday at Customer Appreciation Day at the
Station. There'll be donuts and coffee in the morning and hotdogs and
pop from 12 noon.
         Beginning Sunday, routes 105 Wilson Heights, 106 York
University, 107 Keele North, 108 Downsview and 117 Alness will run
from Downsview Station, instead of from Wilson Station. In addition,
the 84 Sheppard West bus, eastbound and westbound, will enter the
station, providing direct access to the subway.
         Subway service from Downsview begins southbound at 6 a.m. Monday
through Saturday. The first northbound train arrives at about 6:30
a.m. Monday through Saturday and at 9:36 a.m. on Sunday.
         The last train leaves Downsview southbound at 1:17 a.m., every
day and the last northbound train arrives at about 2:07 a.m. every
day.
